The story of Reiki begins in the mid 1800’s with Mikao Usui.   Reiki means “universal life force”.  Everything in the universe has an energetic pattern.  In Reiki hands are laid on the body and energy (“Ki”) is channelled into the person having the treatment.  Ki energy includes air, breath, wind, vital breath, vital essence, the activating energy of the universe.  A Reiki treatment is guided by a universal spirit or spiritual nature (“Rei”) flowing through the practitioner’s palms to heal a person wherever they may need it.  When appropriate Dennis a Reiki Master incorporates reiki into his massage treatments.   massage
